Johnson Outboard Cranks But Wont Start
Johnson 115 hard crank but right? 3
1975 Johnson 115 starts outboard motor, but I don't know. It looks good and has good compression. What controls spark ignition?
If the plane had SW, this would be the first thing I would see. It looks like a sack that encloses with a drawstring.

Forget it, if you do, you won't get significant performance, the engine won't start.
Find the Sparks: Remove the spark plugs, place them back in the trunk, attach them to the energy block and find the sparks by restoring energy with the key. Use plastic or insulated equipment.
If there is no spark in the cylinder, first check that the battery is fully charged.
Then disconnect the circuit. This is the wire in which the yellow markings run from the power supply to the M switch terminal, carried by the main wiring harness. The connection of this wire to the ground is the motor that catches the 'food' block.
Disconnect the main red horns and test for spark and activate the solenoid to rotate the handle. If the engine is like this, it can only be stopped by running the engine manually. If such a spark occurs, it means that the yellow wire / accidentally came in contact with the ground wire somewhere in the control of the ship, or the lock is broken. The switch will probably test positive continuity on both M terminals and the switch is in the off position and open at all times.
If that doesn't help, check the powerhead wires and make sure there are no abrasive / gum / burnt insulation. Check all ground wires on the ENE block.
If you see a hard substance in the transmission head coming from the flywheel, melting the epoxy will loosen the magnets.
Not good, ie damaged power supply, timer base, or stator. If you have a DVA adapter for multimeter in SD start you can check the power supply and stator output, the power supply output to the coil must be at least 250 volt AC peak, for power supply The stator output must be minimal. 0.5 VAC peak.
Those who do not have the test equipment can be responsible for the power supply, which is the easiest to replace, not to mention that there are things in life that are worse than the surplus power supply.
The handwheel must be loosened to reach the stator and timer base. At this point, you need a good service manual (OEM manuals are available from qualified service technicians).
There is no switch this year> Check the assembly configuration connected to the solenoid valve> If it is OK, disconnect the switch and the yellow wire> Crank the crank and see if there is a spark in the spark plug> If yes Replace the switch, install the wiring harness or new cable, or check the red connector or wire harness> If this does not solve the problem, check>
Check the patch key. I have seen them fail again and again. Prisoners fail. Also check the roller. Its the best.
It has 275 hp on Johnson.
Turns out SW came out with the water inlet.
I pulled it out, twisted the cable, and I left.
Power again friend

Check the solenoid and try the walk jumper directly on the battery.
