Booray Card Game
Does anyone know the rules of the game of Bourey {Bo Ray? 3
I know the spelling is wrong, it's a Cajun game (I think) I played with friends in New Orleans last year. Help me here!
Part of my family is from Louisiana and we play Booray (aka Bourré) when we get together. These rules are:
The bag has both pool and poker functions, which makes it a good link between these two popular games. The game is also related to the old card game called Carté. Booray is in Louisiana, with French-speaking Caianos.
Number of players. Although the game can be played by two or three people, it is best played with many (4-7 players). Each player plays for himself.
Package 52 Standard card pack of used cards.
Map area. A (height), K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 in each color.
At each deal, the player bets on one. The dealer now decides how much he and the other players pay, but usually a mother bets on the initial bet.
Get up players shoot or cut for the first deal. The turn then goes to the player on the left. Only the dealer shuffles and the player hits the kit. Each player is given one, five cards at a time, face to face with the player on the left. The dealer then exchanges the next card, called a TP suit, and then announces the suit.
The goal of the game is to win at least one spin and win them all by spinning the most.
Description After viewing their cards, each player can release his hand and lose his original bet by showing all five cards. Otherwise, the player can stay and have a chance to win or lose extra. Each active player, depending on the rest of the dealer, now loses one to four cards and receives or keeps a replacement. (In some games the player cannot draw more than three cards, in other games limit five cards, new hand).
Play When the draw is over, the dealer moves to the left and the cards are played alternately (one card per turn from each player). The leader should use his TP the most when he has an ace, king or queen. In each round, one player per round:
1) Follow the flow if possible.
2) If possible, first play one card higher than the other.
3) If you can't do that then play TP.
4) Play any card if you can't follow or TP.
Although athletes who cannot maintain their colors should do so, there is no need to do more. Tricks are won with the most cards in the suit, unless TP is played. In this case, the highest TP wins. Therefore, leads the winner of the round. You can draw any card unless you have an ace, king or queen. In that case, you should draw one of these three cards.
Notation The player who wins the most moves wins. If two players win two spins each or five players win each spin, they divide the total equally. One player stays in the game but does not win the round; He will have to pay the same amount as the current amount. It will be included in the next one, not the current one.
